Zweka charges a service fee so we can hold payment, run disputes and pay out sellers securely. Defaults are designed to stay competitive with Nigerian peer marketplaces.

Current standard

SideRateFloorCap
Buyer5% of item₦150₦10,000
Seller5% of item₦250₦25,000

Example: ₦100,000 item → buyer pays about ₦105,000 total; seller payout about ₦95,000; platform fees ₦10,000 before payment-provider costs.

Large tickets hit the caps (e.g. a ₦2M service does not take ₦100k+ per side).

What fees are not

  • Not a separate “processing” line at checkout — card/wallet costs are absorbed inside the model
  • Not charged on free giveaways
  • Snapshotted on the order when created — later admin changes do not rewrite old orders
